Three tips for getting the perfect fit:
Peep toes are easy
Peep toes allow you to flex up or down half a size. If you normally wear size 7½ to 8, you can safely buy either size and because your toes are peeping out the end, they will have room to move.
Sandals/Singbacks have flex
Sandals and slingbacks offer some flexibility with fit because the shoe is open at the heel, giving a little extra room. If you normally buy a size 7½ to 8, you should generally opt for the larger size as it will be more comfortable for your toes.
Pumps and flats are unforgiving
Shoes with both a closed heel and closed toe are more unforgiving when it comes to fit so it’s important that you get the right size. If you normally buy a size 7½ to 8, you should always buy the larger size, especially if you have a wider foot.
Helpful conversion charts
Every shoe listed on our website has a conversion chart showing the size marked on the shoe (often a European or Hong Kong size depending on our supplier for that style) and the corresponding Australian size.
To find this chart, simply click on the shoe you like and look for the black button marked “Size guide for this shoe” (see image at right).
This will help you choose the correct size if you decide you’d like to buy that shoe in another colour or style; or if you want to choose a different design altogether and you’re not sure what your Shoe Envy size is.
The picture below shows where to find the button that takes you to this conversion chart. Please note, the charts vary from style to style.
IMPORTANT: If you already have a Shoe Envy shoe, please check the Aussie size for that shoe, then choose any future purchases based on your Aussie size. A 38 in one style may correspond to a 37 or a 39 in another style because of differences in supplier size standards so always use the Australian size when deciding which size is right for you.
